Two ideas that are recurrent when I dwell on the concept of blogging are 1. writing and 2. connecting. Songwriter Joni Mitchell wrote: ‘I still believe in the power of the word, that words inspire.’ Writing has constantly enabled me to have a voice whilst blogging offered me a concrete means of action. I am not merely ‘blogging’, I want to be a writer. I want to write stories that have meaning and to which people can relate. I want to use my voice to shed light on concealed matters or issues that matter to me, and to so many others. I want to spread positivity. And I want to connect with people. I would love for you to click on one blog post and think after reading it: ‘This had an impact on me.’ Whether you disagreed with me or shared my viewpoint, I would be grateful that not only did you read a piece of mine but you also felt something reading it.
Some pieces are undemanding to write but grueling and daunting to share in the open space. As Hemingway said: ‘There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed’, thus I will keep on writing and sharing it, through thick and thin.
Therefore I hope that wherever you are, a few or a thousand miles away, reading my blog you feel welcome to catch a glimpse of my world and accept me for who I am, a mere being longing to break free.
After having shared my journey here with you for five beautiful years, THHP is no longer. I’m very grateful for everything I’ve learnt from my own writing and the amazing feedback I’ve been getting from about nine hundred followers. Thank you so much for the support.
